China" Inbound Tourism Roadshow, co-hosted by the China Center ofInternational Cultural Exchange and Tourism Promotion, the China Cultural Centrein Sydney, and the China National Tourist Office, Sydney, took place at the China Cultural Centre in Sydney, Australia. The Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism organized a series of events under the theme "5,000 Years of Civilization in Shanxi," featuring Shanxi cultural relics, cultural tourism product promotions, and a Shanxi cuisine tasting session.

Jin Zhang, Deputy DirectorGeneral of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attended the event. During the promotional session, he introduced the magnificent landscapes and profound cultural heritage of Shanxi, extending a warm invitation to Australian tourists to visit Shanxi and gain a deeper understanding of China. He also highlighted the Shanxi Museum and its permanent exhibition "The Spirit of Jin."

In recent years, Shanxi's ancient architecture has garnered increasing public attention, and related cultural and creative products have become highly popular with audiences. Shanxi Museum's creative products were brought to Sydney in a lightweight, lifestyle-oriented manner, drawing from the museum's collections and Shanxi's distinctive ancient architectural culture. The exhibition featured over 40 creative products across five series: "Bronze Splendor," "Glorious Bronze," "Eaves' Treasures," "Glazed Charm in Miniature," and "Colors on the Eaves." The "Bronze Splendor" series draws inspiration from the museum's bronze collection, integrating millennium-old national treasures into daily life. The ancient architecture series includes assembled building blocks, ornaments, and fridge magnets, transforming Shanxi's ancient architectural heritage and glazed tile craftsmanship into "portable calling cards."

During the "Taste of China" segment, a spectacular live performance of Shanxi's intangible cultural heritage noodle-pulling skill ignited the audience's enthusiasm. Exquisite techniques such as knife-cut noodles, pulled noodles, noodle balloons, and noodle stretching amazed the spectators. The "Taste of China" themed cultural tourism market displayed food pictures, specialty creative products, and themed travel routes from Shandong, Shanxi, and Sanya in Hainan Province. In the food tasting area, guests experienced the rich connotations and aesthetics of Chinese culinary culture through interactive engagement.

With food as a medium and culture as a bridge, the event combined immersive experiences with distinctive displays, presenting the diverse charm and profound depth of China's cultural and tourism resources. It became a vibrant chapter in the 2026 China-Australia cultural and tourism exchange, extending a warm invitation to international tourists to visit Shanxi and experience the allure of "Nihao! China."
